"Russia – the harmony of cultures" – the year of the 90th anniversary of the Leningrad region

IV ethno-cultural festival of the Leningrad region "Russia – the harmony of cultures" was held on August 26 in the town of Sosnovy Bor. It was attended by delegations of 11 subjects of the Northwest Federal district, as well as delegations of the districts of the Leningrad region.
This year the festival was held under the emblem of the 90th anniversary of the Leningrad region.
Ethnic festival "Russia – the harmony of cultures" – the largest project of the programme of activities aimed at dissemination of knowledge about the peoples of Russia, the strengthening of traditional spiritual and moral values, which is implemented by the Committee on local government, interethnic and interfaith relations of the Leningrad region and the House of Friendship in Leningrad region.
The festival was visited by distinguished guests: Deputy Plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Northwest Federal district Lyubov Sovershaeva, the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Leningrad region Sergey byabenin, the Deputy Minister of the Republic of Karelia for national politics, relations with public and religious associations Elena Migunova and other officials.
The organizers of the festival have planned a rich program, including a procession of festive columns in national costumes of the regions of the North-West and delegations of municipalities, gala concert of the best creative Amateur groups and professional performers, amicable multinational round dance. Traditionally, were deployed 20 national farmsteads, rich series, workshops in traditional crafts. On the occasion of the awarding of the multinational families.
The highlight of the festival, according to representatives of the energy, which carried out the staging of the action, was the performance of songs in different languages of the peoples of Russia, which became the anthem of the holiday. The music of the anthem was written by composer Anna Solovieva, known for ice Opera "Infinity" and circus production of "the Mystery of giant elephants", a unique permanent presenter of numerous television and radio programs of the International film Festival "GOLDEN PEAK", the author of many Russian hits.
Specifically for the ethnic festival was made a rolling symbol – carved wooden boat. She was transferred to the head of administration of Priozersk city - Soklakov Alexander, which will host the V festival "Russia – the harmony of cultures" in the next year.
In the tent of the House of Friendship in Leningrad region was located interactive exhibition "Karelia today", organized jointly LOO MOO support cultural, ethnic and folk traditions "Karelian Commonwealth", BU "Center of national cultures and national creativity of the Republic of Karelia" and "Union of the Karelian people".
Irina Arkhipova - Chairman of the Board LOO MOO "Karelian Commonwealth" and the General Director of the Studio of the historical film "FARAON" together with members of the NGO "Karelian Union" and "Union of Karelia" Karelian national costumes led the procession in a convoy of the House of Friendship in Leningrad region.
