The magnificent resort of The Sun Siyam Iru fushi Maldives will host the international film festival "On the Equator"
On July 10-12, 2016, on Maldives, in The Sun Siyam Iru fushi Maldives hotel there will take place the first international festival of tourist movies "On the Equator" which will gather fans and professionals of cinema from various countries of the world united by love to art, tourism and sport.
At a festival the best movies of the Russian partner film festival "GOLDEN PEAK" will be shown.
Main objectives of the On the Equator festival are promotion of movies, audiovisual and multimedia programs of national and international tourism, advance of different types of sport and a healthy lifestyle, development of programs in the field of tourism, social responsibility and environment protection.
The jury of a film festival consists of experts in the field of cinema, television, tourism, sport, marketing, distribution, PR technologies and advertizing, film critics and producers.
Representatives of the Maldives, Russia, Finland, Spain, Italy, Greece, France, Poland, Great Britain, the countries of the Middle East and China, and also experts in the field of the film industry, journalism, tourist branch and specialists of the ecological and scientific organizations will participate in the On the Equator festival.
Within action fans and professionals of a film world will present the works in various genres ("feature film", "documentary", "short film", "animation" and "clip") and the nominations (the underwater world, mountains, travel, unique tourist object, scientific tourism pilgrimage, ethnographic adventures, an extreme, etc.). Movies – winners of the On the Equator festival will be shown at the leading world film festivals.
Participants and guests of a festival will be able to enjoy the interesting exposition devoted to Maldives, to iuznat about a story and culture of the island state, rich flora and fauna, customs and traditions of locals, and also about features of life on atolls.
For the first time in the history of the international festivals the official opening ceremony will take place on an orange carpet path (by analogy with a red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival).
Within a festival there will take place exhibitions, a photo contest and the fair "Secrets of Maldiv". Wait for guests unique gala - a concert, lotteries, prizes, akva-show, welcome cocktails and mass of marvelous impressions.
